Parklife Pandemonium 0.1

Hiyaaaa,

This is my first ‘official’ blog post and because I spend most of my spare time at concerts and gigs, I thought why not start reviewing them! I always see crazy things and continuously kick myself for not taking note or writing it down for others to read because quite frankly it’s hilarious. If the title didn't give it away Parklife will be my first review.
The light bulb moment to start reviewing gigs and concerts came when me and my sister witnessed a lady who was quite obviously high as a kite on some sort of illegal drug that had been smuggled in and unnoticed by the ‘sniffer’ dogs.  I mean official parklife staff were parading the length and width of Heaton Park with boxes of ‘Gold Rush’ for a fiver… good ol’ classy Manchester ey! But first I want to tell you about Parklife before I start going in to all the funny and bizarre things I saw.

I'd always heard about Parklife but only because my dad would complain and moan about how it took him “3 hours” to get back to the bus depot. I was always too young to go and constantly wondered if I’m allowed to go to a concert why aren't I allowed to the park and see some live acts? I now understand why my parents wouldn’t let me go and yes they were right. When the line-up was revealed for this year and Rita Ora was announced, I instantly said to my friend we need tickets. I’ve seen Rita countless times, yet every time she's in Manchester I have to see her! Iggy Azalea, Zebra Katz, Joey Bada$$, DJ Fresh and Example were also part of the Sunday line-up. Me and some friends had met Iggy a couple days beforehand and told her we’d be there screaming her infamous song ‘Pussy’ to which she laughed and told us how excited she was to perform! Anyway, Parklife is renowned for always delivering and this year didn't disappoint. I will certainly be going back next year especially with the festival only costing around £70 for the weekend. Speaking of going back, I hope the weather will be just as good next year because it was amazing all weekend (unusual for Manchester, but I am not complaining.)

I'm so excited for summer now, can't wait for college to be over and to be free!

Here are the pictures from when I met Iggy the other week!
